VETAC (Sudbury's Regreening Committee)
Vetac is commited to enhancing and sustaining a healthy environment for residents of the City of Greater Sudbury through the restoration and protection of our air, land and water.

Sudbury and District Health Unit
The Sudbury & District Health Unit works locally with individuals, families, the community and partner agencies to promote and protect health and to prevent disease. Public health programs and services are geared toward people of all ages and are delivered in a variety of settings including workplaces, day care and educational settings, homes, health care settings and community spaces.

The Foodshed Project
Our Mission: To work in partnership with youth and the citizens of the City of Greater Sudbury to develop sustainable community food security initiatives that improve our health, our community, our economy, and our environment.

Junction Creek Stewardship Committee

Greater Sudbury Environmental Services
Responsible for the collection of solid waste (garbage); collection of leaf & yard trimmings and Green Cart organics; collection, processing, and marketing of blue box recyclables; collection and disposal of household hazardous waste; collection of leaf & yard trimmings; provision of backyard composters and all centralized composting activities of the City and the promotion and education of all 3R's (reduce, reuse, recycling) activities.

Seeds of Diversity
Seeds of Diversity is is a Canadian volunteer organization that conserves the biodiversity and traditional knowledge of food crops and garden plants.

Parkside Older Adult Centre
The ParkSide Centre is a non-profit organization with membership for those 50 or older. It provides opportunities for older adults to explore their potential and to maintain an active, independent lifestyle. The Centre operates a Seniors' Information Line at 673-3636 and is also an outreach resource for other
older adult clubs in Greater Sudbury.

Rainbow Routes Association
Rainbow ROUTES Association is a not for profit organization dedicated to sustainable mobility through the development and promotion of active transportation routes, including the Trans Canada Trail, in Greater Sudbury.

Ontario Invasive Plant Council
The Ontario Invasive Plant Council (OIPC) provides leadership, expertise and a forum to engage and empower Ontarians to take action on invasive plant issues.  The OIPC is a non-profit, multi-agency organization founded in April 2007 by a group of individuals and organizational representatives who saw the need for a coordinated provincial response to the growing threat of invasive plants.

Vale recognizes the importance of biodiversity and considers it to be an intrinsic theme for its business. The company plans actions to manage biodiversity in the regions where it operates, bringing together species and ecosystem conservation with operational activities.

Xstrata Nickel

Science North
Science North is Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction and an educational resource for children and adults across the province. Science North maintains the second- and seventh-largest science centres in Canada.
(This display will include native seeds, native plants and information pertaining to native plant gardening at Science North in the Northern Garden, Northern Forest and Healthy Shoreline Demonstration sites.)

North Bay Regional Health Centre - Kirkwood Site
NBRHC’s Regional Mental Health Services provide specialized mental health care to the families and communities throughout the entire northeast Ontario region and is proud of its 60-year history. NBRHC’s specialized mental health services complement the acute mental health services provided throughout the region at the four major acute care hospitals in the northeast and through community mental health service providers throughout the region.

The Sudbury Horticultural Society has been assisting the Health Centre in
establishing a horticultural therapy program at the on-site greenhouse
.

This display will include hand made herbed vinegars and pressed flower art, as well as some herbs grown in the greenhouse at the Kirkwood site.)

The Ronnie Fund
We are a humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Kenyan people. Our mission is to assist our Kenyan friend Ronnie Mwachia Mdawida achieve his dream of empowering the people of his native village of Wongonyi, Kenya and the Kenyan people to a better quality of life without having to experience the cycle of poverty they are now a part of. The Hon. Tony Clement, Minister of Health for Canada has called Ronnie “a one-man NGO” and both Mr. Clement and Prof. Judith Mbula Bahemuka, Kenya High Commissioner to Canada and Cuba support The Ronnie Fund/Wongonyi Village Project.
